Welcome to the Collegiate American School. Our quaint community school nestled in the neighborhood of Umm Sequim 2 offers an American experience in an international setting.

As you begin to explore our website, you will find that the curriculum is aligned to the Common Core State Standards, specifically the State of New York.  Our classrooms offer experiential learning through grouping and differentiation to meet the needs of all learners.  The GATEway program allows us to extend and enrich the educational experience of gifted and talented students to spark their skills and special abilities.  Robust co-curricular activities and athletics program offers something for everyone.  Students completing our academic program will be eligible for a US High School Diploma as well as the option of an International Baccalaureate Diploma.  The high school advisor works closely with students on university preparedness and selection to ensure that needs are met for university requirements or career pathways.

Classrooms at Collegiate American School (CAS) are vocabulary rich with collaboration and activities supporting inquiry and critical thinking in all content areas.  The infusion of technology through the use of iPads and laptops keep our students competitive with 21st century practices. We have infused Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) for all students in grades 3-10 with a state of the art STEM lab and specific instruction enhancing our curriculum delivered by a STEM expert.  This with practices of programming, virtual reality, robotics among other instruction during ICT keeps us on the cusp of technological skills students may require for future workforce opportunities.

Learning is supported in all environments including field trips (local and international) that extend our curriculum, and events that celebrate global-minded thinking and display our learning. Students are active participants in planning and executing their leadership attributes.

CAS is very proud to be a growing, inclusive school.  In our short five years, we have successfully gained accreditation through the Council of International Schools (CIS), New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), IBDP authorized and a rating of good from KHDA.  Our research and robust professional development program for our teachers assists in meeting the needs of all learners and keeps us abreast of current trends in American education.

The sense of community that completes Collegiate American School is admirable.  Often, students will comment “we are a family” which is important to our global citizens as they traipse the globe for opportunities in higher education or employment.  The school balances American education and traditions in an international setting while celebrating the diversity of its stakeholders.  Don’t forget to like us on Facebook as you’ll see some of our favorite memories of celebrating learning daily.  I look forward to seeing you on campus.
